Our home

The current CCC Children’s Home facility was built in 2005 and consists of two main buildings located on land leased to CCC from the local government. The larger building has two wings, one for boys and one for girls. Each wing contains two toilet rooms, two shower rooms, and four bedrooms. Our children are cared for by home mothers, nanny nurses and our Dean of Students. The lower level of the main building contains office space and a library.
The second building has a large dining room, which also serves as a community room and gathering place for children and staff. It has a small kitchen with running water, and storage for food.
Since our home opened, reliable and clean water has been a challenge. In 2013, a deep borehole well was drilled after raising the funds through our Glass of Hope campaign, by the end of 2014, the home became completely water self-reliant.
The home grounds include donated playground equipment, and a leveled playing field where the children play soccer and games. The field also provides a space for the CCC children to interact with children in the community, including as part of formal soccer leagues.
